oatmeal honey collagen hair mask

Oatmeal Honey Facial Mask

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Add the Beef Gelatin to 2 tablespoons of filtered water in a small bowl. Let stand 2-3 minutes to bloom.
  2. Grind the oats into a coarse powder in a blender or spice grinder. Stir the ground oats together with ½ cup of water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring continuously, until it becomes very thick like oatmeal, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the bloomed gelatin and continue to stir until the gelatin has dissolved.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the mask to come to body temperature (or cool enough to apply to your face comfortably).
  5. Stir in the honey and apply a thick layer to the face, going back for a second coat as needed. The mask can be gently massaged into the face if exfoliation is desired.
  6. Leave the mask on until it’s dry to the touch, about 15-20 minutes, then rinse off with a warm cloth.
  7. Store extras in the fridge for up to a week, warming gently to melt the gelatin again before each use.
