Fitness Model Attila Toth: How I Uncap My Potential

In honor of the launch of Vital Proteins new Collagen Water™, we’re kicking off a weekly series on Lively called “How I Uncap My Potential,” where we feature amazing people doing incredible things in their field. Today, we’re spotlighting fitness model Attila Toth. Find out what inspired him to pursue a career in fitness, his advice for someone looking to follow in his footsteps, and the advice he’d give his younger self.

Lively: Thanks for chatting us! When did you first become interested in fitness?

Attila Toth: I have been a sportaholic ever since I was a kid. I’ve tried a large variety of sports, with several being on a competitive level. As a chubby young teenager, I decided to take action and drop weight at 14. That’s when I picked up a healthy diet and got my first gym membership too.

L: What has been the most rewarding part of your career so far?

AT: It’s hard to name one single moment or event. Over the years, I’ve helped many individuals of all ages and genders world-wide become the best version of themselves. It’s a long process to achieve a body you are happy with therefore it took a while to get the first positive feedbacks from my clients. Once I did however, it was a daily reward having my people check in and make my days by sending over transformation photos.

As a fitness influencer, my job is to influence people to live a long, healthy, and fit life they can enjoy. I’m responsible for the content and thoughts I share with those following me. Therefore, I focus on putting out the best and only the most accurate information I possibly can to make my online community a better place.

L: Do you have any advice for someone who is just starting their fitness journey?

AT: Be consistent and don’t try to achieve results overnight. Health has to be priority in this field since it’s impossible to reach any results without cultivating a healthy body and mind.

L: How do you overcome a workout rut?

AT: At younger stages of my life, I planned to pursue all kinds of professions from becoming an architect to becoming a water polo player and a policeman, too! I have changed my mind numerous times. However, one thing that has never changed is my attitude and love towards sport. That was the activity I did when I was happy or sad. When I was successful, it motivated me and at times it helped me overcome failures. I have my bad days too, just like everyone else. But whenever I feel like skipping a workout, I remind myself I was born an athlete and it’s my biggest passion in life around which I built my lifestyle and business.

L: What advice would you give your younger self?

AT: Always trust your instincts and don’t stress over small things. Even if you fail, you’ve got to stand up and keep trying because everything happens for a reason and eventually, if you are putting the work in with passion day by day, results will follow.

L: How do you “uncap your potential”?

AT: I do my best in using time wisely, which is a key element for success. We all have the same 24 hours a day and it’s up to us how we use them. Every activity I do I make sure to give my best and not leave half-finished work behind me. This helps me maximize my time.

L: How does Vital Proteins help you feel your best?

AT: I can easily incorporate all Vital Proteins products in my everyday life because they offer me a variety of ways to consume collagen. As a fan of coffee and tea, I love using the Collagen Creamer and Beauty Collagen the most. Training intensively year-round puts a lot of stress on our joints and ligaments, so we have to take special care for optimal performance. I have tried a wide range of products before and Vital Proteins is the first one that offers no additives or artificial ingredients, which helps me keep my health in check. After all, that is the most important thing in life!
