Molly Shannon Talks Self-Care & Her Go-To Collagen Smoothie

How do actors unwind after a particularly stressful day? If you ask Molly Shannon, she’ll tell you staying quiet is key. The Saturday Night Live alum was at the Sundance Film Festival to promote her latest film, Horse Girl, in January, which meant she spent her time in Park City, Utah “talking, talking, talking and doing press most of the day.”

It sounds exhausting, doesn’t it? And while it can be, the actress-comedian assures Lively that she still tries to make time for self-care despite having a hectic work schedule. Zero on-the-go sheet masks required.

“When I do have a block of free time during a busy press day, I try to rest and not talk to take care of myself,” shares Shannon. And when she’s not working, the star enjoys life’s simple pleasures. “I get massages sometimes and I also swim!” she tells us. “I also take moments every day to really try to appreciate all that I have in my life that I’m grateful for.”

One of the many things the Horse Girl star is currently thankful for? Her tasty daily ritual – drinking a nutrient-rich collagen smoothie! “I make a smoothie every day,” she says, adding that her go-to ingredients include pineapple, banana, almond milk, ginger, flax oil and Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides.
