There's nothing better than a refreshing, nutrient-packed protein smoothie after an intense workout (says my husband anyway!). As a *big* protein smoothie fan, he's all for whipping up new concoctions as I sip my coveted Vital coffee as part of our morning routine. So one day, inspired by a very tasty banana bread recipe a friend had made, I decided to take over the blender. The result? A protein drink that tasted just like the "real thing" (his words, not mine!).
According to the taste-tester, this Banana Bread Protein Smoothie recipe gave off all the rich, buttery and nutty notes of the carby treat — but in drinkable form. While he loved the taste, I, on the other hand, was thrilled he was sipping on guilt-free inclusions Iike bananas, almond butter and fiber-rich granola, topped off with a scoop of Vital Proteins Vanilla & Coconut Water Collagen Whey Protein to support his athletic performance.**
If I can win over my husband at first sip with this good-for-you creation, I promise it's sure to be a winner in your own kitchen. Take my word for it and follow the step-by-step recipe, below.
