I am a chips and dip kind of girl and I know I’m not the only one out there! I love to make my own dips from scratch because I know what ingredients are going into it. It’s such a rewarding feeling when it turns out delicious and all your guests love it. As a nutritionist, I always encourage my clients to make their own dips from scratch. Most dips contain many unnecessary ingredients and fillers, so it’s important to use simple and whole ingredients to get the nutrients we need to support our bodies.
Two of my favorite dips to bring to any potluck or party are Guacamole and Pico de Gallo. They are both extremely simple to make and are full of delicious flavors. Although both recipes are quite similar and use some of the same ingredients, they both offer completely different flavors. The Guacamole is creamy and delivers a subtle with a kick of heat from the jalapeño, while the Pico de Gallo is fresh and light thanks to the lime and cilantro that’s included. Feel free to control the spice levels and the taste of cilantro in both these recipes. I love to enjoy these dips with tortilla chips, on tacos, with crackers – but they’re just as good by themselves!
RELATED: Collagen Peptides vs. Marine Collagen
What makes these recipes different from any others is the use of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. I will say it over and over again; you can add our unflavored collagen powder to absolutely any recipe without it changing the taste or consistency. Our Collagen Peptides are flavorless, odorless and easily dissolves in hot and cold liquids and foods. It’s easily the most versatile collagen product in our lineup since it can be added to virtually any recipe – sweet or savory.
It is one of the easiest ways to get your daily collagen intake while supporting your body with some key nutrients. Collagen helps to support healthy hair, skin, nails, joints and bones. So, the next time you’re craving one (or both!) of these delicious dips at home, you may want to consider adding Collagen Peptides.
