Unsurprisingly, weekdays tend to get hectic, which is why I set time apart every weekend to go on a shopping spree at a local grocery store. As a working professional, I try my best on the weekdays or else I’ll either be "hangry" or exhausted from work and managing a healthy social life. If I do not set myself up for success, I know I won’t be able to show up the way I want to, both personally and professionally. Take it from me – and my Trader Joe's grocery haul:
To start, I typically go grocery shopping twice a week — either at Meijer or Costco, then a smaller trip to Trader Joe’s or Aldi. This past Sunday, I went into my favorite Trader Joe’s and grabbed my go-to items on the list, plus a few extras I just had to grab. (I can’t be the only one who does this.)

-
Ground turkey or fish of choice (this time I grabbed mahi mahi)

-
Minute Maid Rice (these 90-second microwavable bags are the best!)
-
Pre-made hard boiled eggs (this is a great grab-and-go option!)
-
Pre-packed salads: kale and edamame salad and super spinach salad
-
Sparkling water
The following items were not on my list, but I just had to get them:
- Wine (my last name is Shaw and I discovered Charles Shaw Wine … definitely a must-buy!)
- Ghost Pepper Chips
- Beets
From early-morning workouts and meetings to living an awesome social life, I must take at least two hours on the weekends to ensure I have a few meal and snack options for a successful start to my week. After my shopping spree this past week, I went home and made my famous Stuffed Peppers. Every client, family member, and friend of mine raves about this recipe. I hope you enjoy just as much as we all do.
